Keeping Your Teeth

Clean

In over 100 years of practicing Dentistry, the Rothenberg Dental Group has cleaned over a million teeth. With all that experience, it’s safe to say we know a whole lot about good oral hygiene.

The 1st rule:
Prevention, prevention, prevention!

The reason so many adults experience oral health problems is because they skip preventative care visits. It’s essential for adults of all ages to have their teeth cleaned at least twice a year. Plaque and bacteria are constantly forming on teeth. Even if you don’t experience immediate discomfort, in time this can lead to cavities and gum disease.

If you live in Florham Park, Livingston, Morristown or any other town near the 07932 area, call 973 647 2207 to schedule your exam. We offer flexible appointment times that cater to every schedule. So no excuses! Make your appointment today.

The 2nd rule: Start them young

The Rothenberg Dental Group recommends having regularly scheduled dental exams starting at a very young age. Healthy baby teeth are far more important to lifelong dental health than people realize.

The 3rd rule: Don’t skip your trip

Why is it so important to visit our office on a regular basis? Because we see things you can’t. Through a thorough examination of your oral cavity and related structures, we can identify small issues and remedy them before they become big problems. We will also clean your teeth far more thoroughly than you can do at home, so gum disease and infections can be identified, treated and prevented.

The 4th rule:
Going to the dentist shouldn’t hurt

The Rothenberg Dental Group practices gentle dentistry. That means patients with sensitive teeth don’t have to worry about pain during or after their exam.

Have sensitive teeth? Here’s what may be causing it: sometimes the enamel on the outside of teeth wears away. This can be due to age, what you eat, improper oral health care etc. Brushing with desensitizing toothpaste can help, but the best thing you can do is schedule regular dental examinations to figure out what’s causing the problem.

The 5th rule:
Healthy teeth tend to stay that way

Accidents happen. But generally, healthy teeth are less likely to become damaged or injured. We will identify and fix small problems before they become big problems.

For example, a minor cavity can be corrected with minimal discomfort. But if that minor cavity is ignored, the infection can spread into the center of the tooth, infecting the dental pulp. In that case, a root canal may be necessary.

Do you need a crown or fixed bridge? Contact the Rothenberg Dental Group today for a consultation. Call 973 647 2207 to schedule an appointment. We will walk you through your options, customizing a solution that works for you, based on your unique needs and oral health.
